STATES OF MATTER

In this activity, students review solids, liquids, and gases by matching pictures and words. They will look carefully at images, recognize vocabulary, and identify if each object is a solid, liquid, or gas. This activity helps students strengthen reading, observation, and science vocabulary skills in English.

Matching Game: State of Matter Match

  • The teacher starts with a warm-up following the whiteboard suggested topics.
  • Review all state of matter words together.
  • Lay all image cards and word cards face down on the table.
  • Students match the image cards with the correct words.
  • After matching, students say if the object is a solid, liquid, or gas.
  • Give points for correct matches and answers.
  • Review all answers together at the end.
