Everyday Materials

In this activity, students review common materials through a memory game. They will flip cards, find matching pairs, and practice saying material names in English. This activity helps students improve vocabulary, focus, and speaking confidence while learning about materials used in everyday objects.

Memory Game: Everyday Materials

  • The teacher starts with a warm-up following the whiteboard suggested topics.
  • Prepare two of each material card to create matching pairs.
  • Shuffle all cards and place them face down on the table.
  • Students take turns flipping two cards.
  • Students say the material name aloud when flipping a card.
  • If the cards match, the student keeps the pair and earns points.
  • Continue until all pairs are found and review the words together.
