Material and Object
In this activity, students learn about common materials by matching objects with what they are made of. They will look at items such as bottles, spoons, chairs, and cups, and connect them with materials like plastic, metal, wood, or glass. This helps students understand materials used in everyday life while practicing simple English vocabulary and speaking skills.
Matching Game: Material and Object
- The teacher starts with a warm-up following the whiteboard suggested topics.
- Show the material cards together (metal, rubber, wood, cloth, plastic, foam).
- Students walk around the classroom, school, or park to touch different objects.
- Students choose the correct material card for the object they find.
- Students say the object and material aloud.
- Example: “Bench — wood!” or “Bottle — plastic!”
- Give points for correct matches.
- Review all materials and objects together at the end.
